Unique, Beautiful Early 20th Cent. Japanese Imari Plate, Bird Motif Signed
It is one of the most unique designs we have encountered for an Imari plate. The artist signature is on the reverse (rare to find this on earlier pieces). The word "Imari" is absent on this piece, typical of the antique pieces. We date this purely upon its design to the 1920's at the latest.

We feel the design is influenced somewhat by the Art Deco period. Please read condition report and see photos. Buttercup Antiques is located in the St. We specialize in unique vintage items, antiques and art.

Educators and researchers and, as a part-time endeavor, enjoy researching the items thoroughly before putting them on the market. Buttercup is our beloved 10 year old black lab. Her photo is always included with our listings.

She is the light of our life and thoroughly enjoys sniffing our finds for any questionable scents. If you happen to find a rogue black lab hair on your item - we promise she is toxic free. This is just her little way of sharing the love!
