Early 19th C Japanese Woodblock Print, Eisen 1790- 1848 Bijen Ga, Beautiful Lady
The information I provide about each print was, in truth, provided by a collector who recently donated her collection of over 1,000 Japanese prints to a University museum. She is somewhat expert in the field. It falls in the category of Bejin Ga, Beautiful women. The print itself measures about 14 3/4" x 9 134". The old paper is very clean with the colors remain strong, so it was not affected by sunlight. This print is currently "tipped", attached at the top of the print lightly to black piece of paper giving that black edge you see. It is tipped to a very thin piece of wood for framing purposes and design, that measures about 21" x 15" See the photo of that spot. The print has two spots of light soiling on the lower left facing quadrant (see the photo), as well as light dust/dirt of minor nature that can be improved with a soft erasure. Check out my other items for more of these prints. Most of my items close on Sunday evenings, 9:00 Central. Im Always happy to take questions or comments.
I do want all my customers to be satisfied, so please, let me know your concerns so I can assist. I do not use reserves or shills. FOR BUYERS FROM OUT OF THE US.
